Because of YOU we Changed Lives in Pakistan |

Together we raised $28,000 to help provide care, nutrition, shelter and safety for equines and families. |

Brooke Pakistan is living through one of the worst natural disasters in history. So, they have had to change their plans for future growth and development and must now focus on responding to the immediate emergency.
Day after day, animals in that country are proving their enormous contributions. They are traveling to far and away towns to deliver food and supplies while being put at risk of disease and infection. Brooke Pakistan is there to tend to the animals, help owners with basic education and treat wounds which are so common with exposure to the harsh environment.
Brooke Pakistan has provided direct care to 15,000 animals, distributed 10,000 feed and fodder bags, and delivered 6,000 meals for families. Brooke Pakistan sends their message of heartfelt gratitude to our Brooke USA donors who helped us raise $28,000 to help that nation. |

Everyone has something to give and every act of generosity counts. Join the GivingTuesday movement on Tuesday, November 29 and reimagine a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. This GivingTuesday our goal is to raise $65,000 in a single day to help working horses, donkeys and mules sold, under horrific conditions, at Equine Fairs in India. With a presence in 67 equine fairs, Brooke India serves as the control center for equine care.
Training on loading and unloading equines from trucks after they are confined to small spaces and traveled for hours, sometimes days on end, is a must. Treatment of injured animals is a great part of what is done, especially if they are going to be sold (the healthier they are, the promise of a good life is greater). Our veterinary centers also serve as a community base for seller and buyer training on equine husbandry and handling. Our hope is to ensure long-lasting care of these young animals. Allocating end of year donations to India’s Equine Fairs is our priority, and we hope you will join us for GivingTuesday. One Day. One Goal. |

Brooke USA Foundation has been awarded, for the third consecutive year, the Top-Rated Non-Profits Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading website for community recommendations of charities and nonprofits. The reviews shared by individuals who volunteer and contribute Brooke USA can be viewed at https://greatnonprofits.org/org/brooke-usa-inc. “We are particularly honored to be named a 2022 Top-Rated Nonprofit as this recognition reflects that our work is important to our friends and supporters,” said Emily Dulin, Chief Executive Officer of Brooke USA. The mission of Brooke USA is to significantly improve the health, welfare and productivity of working horses, donkeys and mules and the people who depend on them for survival worldwide.
The GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Awards are the only awards for nonprofits determined by those who have direct experience with the charities listed – as donors and volunteers. “There is no charity in the United States that covers the ground that Brooke USA does. As part of the Brooke family, the largest and most effective equine welfare group of charities in the world, some of the poorest countries receive considerable assistance in improving the husbandry and welfare of working horses and donkeys. These animals provide the livelihood for many of the world’s most at risk people. Brooke USA does an excellent job of raising funds that are then applied to the improvement of equine welfare in many low-income countries and in so doing contributes to the measurable improvement of these animals and the families they support,” wrote one reviewer.
The GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Awards is the one and only people’s choice award where volunteers, donors, and people served by nonprofits are asked to share stories of inspiration, express their appreciation, and potentially help nonprofits earn a the prestigious GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Nonprofits Badge. To learn more about the equines and people helped, see our annual report below. |
