“Do It Your Way” Fundraising
Brooke USA Your Way allows you to create your own fundraising program or any type of event you want. Love dinner parties? 5k runs? Bake sales? Sport competitions? Give your passion a purpose by turning it into a fundraiser for Brooke USA. All proceeds go directly to Brooke USA.
Brooke USA invites both businesses and individuals to support our work through fundraising. Without your assistance, we could not fund programs that alleviate the suffering of working horses, donkeys and mules, and the people they serve in the developing world. The information below contains suggestions to help you organize and plan your online event. Please keep in mind that we are providing examples, not requirements. We hope that you will plan your event to best suit your needs as well as those of the donors you plan to engage.
Getting started is easy!
First, complete our Third-Party Agreement and email it to Kim Shipp, Community Outreach Officer. We will the assign a staff representative to help you bring your ideas to fruition. Whether big or small, in-person or online, serious or wacky, there really are almost no limits to how you can fundraise for Brooke USA. Obviously, we do not approve of events that harm or demean animals, or are in conflict with our policies, practices, or mission.

Start Your Fundraiser using Crowdrise or Facebook. Either, is an easy way to start your own campaign or join an existing one.
Donate. Make the first donation to demonstrate to your friends that you believe in your efforts and the cause. Every dollar counts!
Share Your Story. Customize your campaign page with photos, videos, and your story of why you're raising money for Brooke USA. People love your own horse, donkey or mule photos.
Make Your Impact. Reach out to friends and family – through email, social media, texts, or phone calls – and ask them to donate or join you. Send a personalized email to friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances, and follow-up with potential notifications, reminders, and progress updates. Ask people around you, including small businesses, campus organizations or other community sites. Does your company match funds? Ask your employer if you can include your fundraiser in an upcoming company newsletter or email announcement.
Say Thank You. Be sure to thank each person for their contribution and generosity! We highly recommend handwritten notes as the show how much you care.
