EVENT POSTPONED UNTIL MARCH 18, 2021
In light of the unprecedented situation around COVID-19 and the coronavirus, and following guidance from public health officials, Brooke USA has announced the force majeure postponement of Brooke USA’s Sunset Polo® & White Party scheduled for March 20, 2020.
The event has been rescheduled for March 18, 2021, at the International Polo Club in Wellington, Fla. Those who have purchased tickets for the event may consider two options: they may have their purchase carried over to the new scheduled date. Or, of much greater need at the moment, they may choose to have their ticket price converted to a fully tax-deductible donation to support Brooke USA’s mission to alleviate the suffering of people and equines around the globe.
This decision was not made lightly, and the organizers of the event recognize the extraordinary circumstances the nation and world find themselves in today. Health and safety is always the number one priority of the charity, and postponement is the most prudent course of action at this time. As a global welfare organization, Brooke USA recognizes the importance of vigilance and precaution. A situation like this will send the communities we serve into even deeper levels of poverty. While much is out of our control, we do know that with the help of our friends and supporters we can assist those in great need.
Brooke USA remains dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules and the people they serve across the globe. Brooke USA’s Sunset Polo® & White Party is a significant source of support for this work and provides approximately 30% of the funds that Brooke USA grants to projects in the developing world each year. This year will be a difficult one; the global pandemic will have a major impact on many of the communities served.

In this time of global crisis, people across the world are depending even more heavily on their working animals to support them as they fetch water, work in the fields, and travel for basic goods. An international health crisis impacts developing countries in devastating ways.
